More events announced for 2011 Battle of Nantwich
Nantwich Museum will be hosting a musketry demonstration led by members of the Sealed Knot. 10.30am-11.30am in the Millennium Gallery.
The popular Civil War themed tours around the town begin at 9.30am and continue until 2pm.
Nantwich museum will also be hosting a Nantwich war game.
Led by Black Wolf Wargames Club, this is an opportunity to join in or watch the recreation of the Battle of Nantwich as Fairfax attempted to pass the Royalists at Acton Church. The game is supported with an accompanying display and leaflets, and will be running throughout the day upstairs in the Joseph Heler Room.
Nantwich Indoor Market will be serving Port and Cheese. All served by people in period costume !
Crewe and Nantwich MP Edward Timpson will again be present at the event and lay a wreath in memory of those Nantwich citizens who died in the battle. He will be accompanied by Patrick Grange who will also lay a wreath on behalf of the event main sponsor, the Co-Op Membership.
The Holly Holy Day Society is delighted to announce the renewal of its sponsorship arrangement with the Co-Operative Membership.

It is with deep regret that we announce the death of Melvyn Reynolds.
A date has now been fixed for the 2011 Holly Holy Day celebrations. The much loved commemoration of the Civil War siege and battle of Nantwich will take place in the town on Saturday 22nd January 2011.
